Exel file open problem

HI.

I have a problem opening an excel document. If i open a document it opens excel but shows nothing, it does show in the toolbar the cell that it should be at and wat is in that sell but no work sheet. if i create a new document it opens fine afterwords.

Is there a solution for this?

Ok what i have seen is that if i do print preview or fullscreen display the document shows but not in normal view?

can you attach your EXCEL file to a post or a link -- I'll see why it doesn't work.

What is the font colour? Same as background? Is the cell format set as custom with ;;; ( ; three times)

Save the file as a .csv file (use a delimiter that is not present in the document, usually a tab) then open a new excel file and import the .csv file.
