Expanding folders changes to Quick View

When I click on a nested folder in Live Mail the folder opens but then automatically moves the view to Quick Views. Is there a way to stop this behavior so that the view remains on the expanded folder?

In Layout/Folder Pane uncheck "show quick view".

But I want Quick View. There must/should be a way to expand folders without having the view always revert to Quick View.
