I have windows 7 running on 64bit. When I open up explorer 8 there are now 2 unwanted TABs which I cannot get rid of. I've also checked the box that says 'open only the home TAB initially', I've tried enabling and disabling TABs but though that gets rid of the unwanted TABs it also deprives me of the TAB facility. I've opened and closed and whatever... has anyone any ideas. I don't know what I did to get these TABs in the first place. John:sarc:

Thank you! Your fix re disabling in 'miscellaneous' under 'security' seems to be working! John:geek:
