Hi all, new to the forum and Windows 7.

I am having trouble with my folder/file views in explorer and I don't know if it is a setting I missed or native behavior.

When I select a folder to view that folder drops to about three lines from the bottom of the window. If the is a sub-folder I want to look into, that also drops down. This is a persistent behavior that is really annoying. I am constantly having to scroll the folder contents up so I can see the additional folders under it.

Any clues on this?

I'm not entirely sure i understand your problem.
Is there anyway you can upload a screenshot of the problems you're experiencing?

I am on a Vista computer right now and cannot send a screen shot.

Example:
On this (Vista) computer if I open C:\ (depending how big the window is) I will see most of the folders on C:\ in the left pane of the window. If I select C:\Windows the Windows folder will open, move to the top of the visible left pane and then show most of the folders in that folder.

If I perform this same function in Windows 7, regardless of where in the pane C:\Windows is, it will drop down to about the third visible row of the pane and only show 1-2 sub-folders. If I want to view any folders underneath, I have to scroll the folders list up in the pane.
