Solved Explorer.exe crashes a few minutes after startup

I tripped over a cord and abruptly unplugged my extension cord and my computer.

When I launch in normal mode explorer.exe crashes after a few minutes. this happens every time I launch in normal mode. I am currently typing this from safe mode.

I have disabled all programs from starting when the computer starts and found a thread online suggesting I copy and paste my explorer.exe from c:/windows into c:/ windows / System32 so I did that and it didn't help entirely, I noticed the crash happens a bit later than it used too. Which I think rules out hardware issues at least slightly

I ran cmd and tried sfc /scannow and this is the log i got back (open the CBS.zip file its just a compressed .txt) it said it found corrupt files and was unable to fix some of them. so a few are still corrupted.

that's all I've got for now any help would be appreciated.

If you don't succeed with system restore, you can do a Repair Install
It will reinstall windows keeping your data, settings and programs.
As a fresh install, it will need to install all updates.
My recommendation is to use Simplix.
My suggestion is to set Services - Windows Update - Manual and on WU page set it to Never check.
Then download UpdatePack7R2-19.11.15.exe and UpdatePatch-19.11.18.exe to same folder.
Run UpdatePatch-19.11.18.exe and it will create UpdatePack7R2-19.11.18.exe.
Run UpdatePack7R2-19.11.18.exe to install all updates.
Simplix is a single file (750MB) that contain all updates since Win 7 released up to date. It has all security and non security updates without the trash (telemetry and tracking). Very good.
Then run WU manually to find updates for Office etc and decide witch one to install.

If you repair install have your 25 character activation key and any other M$ product activation keys. You will need them for activation after repair install.

Have you run Chkdsk C: /r command to repair errors on hard disk.
