I've been using this computer for more than 3 years now, and i'm not sure what happened to it.
Long story short, I had to run CHKDSK, and my keyboards wern't working at the count down point, yet they worked AFTER the countdown (I tried multiple Keyboards.) It took like 3 hours, and then I couldn't Acsess my computer(Well the Windows Explorer.)At that point I was like . It also created a new partition called X:Boot. I had never seen that partition on my computer.
These are the meathods I tried:
I did HKLM/Software/Microsoft/WindowsNT/CurrentVersion/WinLogon and set the shell to explorer.exe, Did not work.It changed back to the thing that was in there
I Tried Windows 7 PE, Did not fix my problems.(I will try the x64 version of the Windows 7 PE later today)
I tried MANY rescue disc, And that didn't work.
Methods I will try later today:
Scanning with MalwareBytes on Windows 7 PE
Trying to change the boot Partition Back to the C: drive(Command Prompt is Also set to the X: partition)
Trying Regedit on C:\ With Windows 7 PE x64(Like I said, I'm using the 32x version of Windows 7 PE)
I've spent almost a DAY of trying to fix this! Can anyone please help?
System Specs
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
HP Pavilion Slimline s5310y
(Thats pretty much all you need to know)
Also, No modifications IN the box.
