Explorer.EXE No such interface supported

On attempting to mount: My documents, Pictures, Music, Games, Computer...
receive an error message Explorer.EXE No such interface supported.

I am in the process now of wanting to do a full reformat, but don't want to lose My Pictures or My Music files.

I basically can't do anything with this issue. Can't create a new user to take possession of the folders. Don't want to attempt any regedit.

Can't access removable media.

Running Avira AntiVir Personal, MalwareBytes Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware. These all scan without returning any problems.

ALL I need is the ability to copy my Photos and Music, and I'm done.

If system restore is no help. First I'd try the System File Checker

If no help, you can do a repair install and keep all your files and programs

Unfortunately I don't know where my Factory discs for Win7 are. Once I find them I'll try that! Definitely won't lose picture or music files?

Hey guys, I don't want to appear noob, but if i repair install it isn't going to affect picture/ music folders is it? I have the disks now, so really just need the assurance that it's safe to go ahead.

It will only change the Operating System files back to default. Would only affect any appearance changes you have made. The contents of your folders will be unchanged. A Guy

Also you may try http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html. Use the .exe and ones for your other file types you want to save.

Unless your system came with SP1 pre-installed, a repair install won't work.

ALL I need is the ability to copy my Photos and Music, and I'm done.

If this is all you want to do, you can try the Copy and Paste method.

Or, if you're more comfortable with Linux, you can run a Live CD such as Ubuntu.
