hey friends, whenever i open folder in explorer, each folder opens up in separate windows. i have also checked settings in folder options. Please help me..!!

If this has just happened recently, then you might consider doing a system restore using a restore point dated before this started to hopefully fix it.

(Here are some additional directions for Vista, but I believe the Windows 7 method is pretty much the same.) From Windows Explorer open Organize, Folder and Search Options, and on the General page, under Browse Folders, check: "Open each folder in the same window." If you use IE, you can also open IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, scroll down to Browsing, and check: "Reuse Windows for launching shortcuts."
If the above methods don't work, perhaps the next logical step would be a scan to try to diagnose the problem. Why don't you follow the steps of Brink's tutorial: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
