Explorer Problem:Renaming only taking effect after F5
**Explorer Problem : Renaming only taking effect after refresh (F5)
Hi guys.
Since I'm in a huge hard drive clean up these days, I am often renaming files, using software to batch rename and batch music tagging.
So, the problem is... When I rename a file manually, by right-clicking, rename then rename it, when clicking away, the file goes back to its original name. Pressing F5 (Refresh) shows that the name was really renamed. Sometimes, I even wonder if Windows REALLY renamed my file.
Exemple :
MY FIle.docx
renamed to..
This is my file.docx
but when clicking away, it returns to its formal name :
MY FIle.docx.
Probably that the problem could be solved by an Explorer reboot but it keeps coming back at one point. It's slightly annoying...
Any help on that topic is appreciated
See you later guys.
EDIT
Added Problem Step Recorder recording...
