Is it possible to have an external USB Audio-Card with different Audio channels
(at least 2 Stereos)
So that I can assign Application A to one output channel and Application B to another?

For an example:
The Media player is assigned to the Channel which is feeding the HiFi- equipment in the living room
while the VoIP Application is assigned to a second channel feeding the Head Phones + Mic.
So I could play Musik parallel using my VoIP.
But if needed signing all channels to the media Player (to get 4.1 Sound)

One of your applications will have to allow you to select the audio output device manually (not all media player allow this but winamp does.

You would be best to use the on-board audio for voip (as this requires both inputs and outputs) and to play media though the secondary (USB if you insist) card.

Think of it in devices as opposed to channels (like windows does).
