Can anyone tell me, which would be the best compatible for Windows7 500GB external hard drive to purchase. I have a 160gb ide at the moment but need to expand my storage capabilities to include back up's etc.

On Thursday last I picked up a Hitachi 250GB External Hard drive from my local Tesco's for £24.99 it was on offer, they also had 500GB for £29.99.
It works great with my windows 7

Windows 7 would work on Pretty much any HDD So the choice is up to you
