HI,

I'm running 7 on a computer to which I have attached as an external HD the HD of my old computer (XP). I'm trying to keep some data and erase some. But, I can't have access to some folders: "You need administrators rights".
BUT I am running as administrator.
Any ideas?

Daniel

HI, BUT I am running as administrator.

Unless you unhid the "real" Administrator account (which I'm guessing you did not), you are NOT running as administrator; instead, you are running as a general class user with SOME admin rights.

This is a confusion that folks still carry over from XP days where you WERE an Administrator, by default.
