Extracting Dead USB Flashdrive Data

I have an USB flashdrive that I bought 1 year and 2 mths ago.Normally, when I plugged it into the USB port, it drew power from the laptop, flashed a flashy red light that shows it's reading, and I can hear a some noise.

A few days ago, I plugged it into my laptop and the red light was blinking non-stopped. I pulled it out without Windows 7 having been detected it after my laptop failed to read it and the red light kept on blinking.

Now, it's totally dead,no light,no LED,no power draw,non-responsive. Try it on another laptop still the same.
I did not know it was going to die so soon. The laptop USB ports are OK with other USB flashdrives.

Phew! they sure cost a lot!
Is it possible to extract any data from it since it's already dead or non detectable device?

Can anyone help me with it?

If the computer cannot detect the device most likely the only hope is commercial data recovery. And that isn't guaranteed.

Flash drives are the least reliable of modern storage media, and add to that the possibility that the device may be lost, stolen, or physically damaged. Even new devices from the best manufacturers can (and do) fail. These devices cannot be trusted for primary storage of important files. They should be used primarily as a transport media.

All important files, regardless of the media they are stored on, need at least one backup copy. Files of particular importance need 2 or more backup copies. Having no backups is asking for trouble.

Asking because the mechanics of recovering data from flash drives are essentially the same -- regardless of what product you use. The PROBLEM is that data recovery almost never works from flash drives. I've had that happen to me and I've used all of the well-known products and NONE of them recovery any useful data.

After I saw a programme on TV about designing to manufacturing an USB flash drive.I have more ideas how an USB flash drive works. Data is still intact in it. Don't throw it away.
I contacted the manufacturer and was told to return to the factory for a new one.
They can sure extract the data out with the right equipment.

It turned out that the USB connector is not extending fully as it should be. I added more trouble by damaging the USB connector by using a flat head plier to pull it out. That alter the shape of the flat USB connector.
Now I decided to break the shell of the USB flash drive to connect wires to it.
