extremely slow screen refresh

Windows 7 is unusable " for me" with the current ati drivers for Windows 7.
The screen refresh rate is like once every 5 seconds. with vga drivers everything works fine.
I have the current build. it's just when i turn on the ati card everything is extremely slow.
anyone know what the problem might be?

My system
amd 6000+
2 gig memory
ati radeon 4670

This is like my 3rd or 4th post where I mention capacitors, but I have to in this case again. The pc downstairs in my house was having a similar problem, then the screen would lock up for like 2 or 3 minutes then go back to being barely usable etc....

The culprit was blown capacitors on the 6200A-LE card which I replaced and everything is fine now. It makes me think your situation might be similar because if the card wasn't being pushed....i.e. vga driver, it was alright.

I tried the driver in your link..there the same ones i tried before..still no luck with this problem. the 3d card is almost new and works fine in my xp setup.

I just found these drivers Drivers & Tools | GAME.AMD.COM
These should sort it out.

These are the only ones to be released so far.
