f11 key not working?

When ever i try to launch the hp system recovery tool i try pressing the f11 key but it just takes me to my os instead of its splash screen, any work around for this?

Try F2 or F10 ....there is usually software in the programs list for HP's recovery tool or just used the hidden partition to recovery. Have you made the recovery disc's? If not make them and use those to recover to factory default settings.
