I have noticed when a company gets hacked most of the time they always state no customer information was affected or infected. Make me wonder why someone would do the hack and not take anything.

My wife's cousin came to me last night someone had tryed to log in his account from Texas and we are in California

It's safe to say they are probably hacking idenitys for credit card use or what ever that's what it sounds like he came to our house all in a shake talking about someone took his facebook and this is a 42 year old man lol

I took a look and had him change the password and he is all good but also told him to monitor it more now or keep it logged in his phone so people can't log in while he is already on

Title of the thread should perhaps change the word HAD to HAS -- after all how do they know problem is 100% solved. Just because the hacker(s) is / aren't active currently doesn't mean they aren't still in business.

Title of the thread should perhaps change the word HAD to HAS -- after all how do they know problem is 100% solved. Just because the hacker(s) is / aren't active currently doesn't mean they aren't still in business.

well the Article states it's solved so they HAD is correct and for future attacks that is always possible so had would be the term to use till it happens again then you can go on to say HAS for your enjoyment

Did I understand it correctly that a employees laptop infected their system when it was plugged into the Facebook system. Hardwired or web cloud they obviously had a domain/network password. Why would such a thing be allowed. Just Willy Nelly plugging things into the network/domain server. Security my aching yin yang. They also seem to think that corporate emails are not important. Sense when. Then they want their customers to think their personal information is safe. Bull banyans.

Your not kidding i was thinking the same thing like wtf were these guys doing at the time this all went down were they outsourcing information perhaps ?

Well their is a good chance their is a inside connection helping some outside friends. It would pay quiet well.
