Solved Facebook query?

:sarc: I am currently using a laptop given to me by a mate when he upgraded. He uses facebook and now Spotify has been released in Aus I want to be able to access it,however you need a Facebook account which I have long resisted.
I find however I cannot sign up for facebook as this Laptop auto signs in to my mates account so I am unable atm to register myself.
So short of reformatting or reinstalling the OS and all Lenovo's bloated bull$hit (which I have painstakingly removed along with a whole bunch of other crap) how do I stop this from auto signing up on my mates account so I can register myself

use a different browser to register. what browser is it that is autosigning , there must be a cache in the browser profile located in appdata (possibly)

Is this your laptop (as in you own it) or is it still your friend's laptop? If it's yours, just clear the saved passwords in the browser, or just create a new Windows user account. If it isn't, ask him if it's ok for you to log into his account just long enough so that you can log out and create a new facebook account.

It's firefox..appdata is located where?

in firefox click tools/ options,click the security tab (with the padlock) then click the saved passwords button. when the list opens click on the facebook details then click remove.
you may want to remove them all as they will be your friends and not yours.

Firefox has a saved password feature. Options - security - saved passwords.

Yup he did...but given we are good mates thats no big deal and besides I have now deleted them all.
