Solved factory default disc

i made factory default discs when i first got my laptop.
i recently sent it back to acer and they have loaded a new copy of windows for me..
can i still use my original discs if i have a problem or should i make new factory default discs??

To be safe, I would make a new disc, even though the old one will most likely work.

i have installed antivirus and some games and other software like firefox/vlc.... is it still ok to make the discs?? or is it totally necessary to only make it on a fresh windows??

It could be made now. The only files to be copied are preset. You only get the opportunity to make a disc, once. So put it in a safe place. In addition, you have a feature system image. It takes a picture of your hard drive. Make a copy of your hard drive, up date once a month and in case of a problem you could use that image. Put is on an external hard drive.

As important as it is to always make them to keep safe, These factory recovery disks only set computer back to the way it was when shipped from factory.

More useful is making a Win7 backup image after you have it set up and running as you like: Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

Is everything running as you'd like? Factory installs can stand some optimizing.
