Hello,
I've tried to restore my computer to factory settings but at the screen it only gives me the option to restore to a previous backup date - the factory reset option is there but it's not selectable (clickable).
Has this setting been disabled somehow? I'm running windows 7 on an Envy (C0N32PA).
Thanks

Hello mparker and welcome to Seven Forums.

I believe that in order to access the hidden recovery partition on an HP computer you need to keep clicking one of the function keys (F7, F8, etc on top row of keyboard) as soon as you apply power to the computer. This HP article explains how to perform a system recovery on computers that shipped with Windows 7.

And this HP article explains the procedures if your computer originally shipped with Windows 8.
