So, you have a Windows 7 disk and when you place it in the disk drive it takes a while. It's relatively normal for disks.
Once it's installed the boot times will be much much much less.

What are you trying to do? You want to install it over the current Windows XP?

How much time does it take to get you to the screen where you choose the language? Can you proceed?

what languages you understand better than english? You seem french (français).

I will say it in simpler English because I don't know french.
I hope Google Translate can help.

You have a Windows Xp computer. You have a Windows 7 cd. You place this CD in the CD reader of your computer. Do you want it to install windows 7 in your computer?

You wait and wait, do you reach this? (in your language)

click "install now" (in your language) and wait for the next screen.

Boot is slow from CD. You must wait a lot. Well, you can watch TV while you wait. Check every 10 minutes if it needs you.

After you have installed windows 7 on your disk, boot is much faster. And you need no CD in the CD reader.

Why do you descibe having a problem with Win7 and then list your OS as XP? This is confusing. Do you have a Dual boot?

Please post back a screenshot of your maximized Disk Mgmt drive map with listings, using SNipping TOol in Start Menu. Attach file using paper clip in reply box. Tell us what is on each partition.

Was there ever a time when the PC started normally? What was different then? What changes were made before the slow boot began?

Read over these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 while we read your Disk Mgmt. screenshot.

If you're ready to install Win7 then back up anything you need from the hard drive and wipe it with Diskpart Clean Command from the booted installer's Command Line accessed by pressing Shift + F10 at first screen here:

windows-7-install-6.jpg

Then close Command Box and click Install Now, do a Custom Install using Drive Options to partition and format as you wish or just click Next for installer to do it for you, follow these illustrated steps to Clean Install Windows 7.

If that fails check for newer BIOS version. If none reset the BIOs to defaults, while in BIOS setup set SATA controller to AHCI to try install, then IDE if necessary.

If that doesn't help then work through the hardware tests in Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7
