Failed Install Roxio Creator 2011 on Win 7 Ult

Having a problem installing roxio creator 2011 on Win 7 Ult x64. Will not recognize that I have Any Windows Platforms, so fails install.
I tried to install in Safe Mode. It reached the point where it wants to install NET 3.5.1 and gives error: Windows programs and features needs to be turned on or off. I figure for NET 3.5.1. I tried every configuration and on go.
I have installed the same program to my Win 7 Home laptop and it installed without a hitch.
Has anyone got any ideas??

Can I suggest you copy the Roxio software to a folder on your hard drive first, and then try and run the installer from there?

OK. Tried that. The install starts, gets as far as trying to instal NET 3.5 SP1 and then it goes right to FINISH install completed. Which it has not.
