My Pc recently has had a some Malware, So after removing it and it giving more problems I decided to re-format the system after backing up documents etc as I knew they were safe,The install went perfectly fine and everything was good, I started it up for the first time and did the usual, Installed drivers etc, but once I came to restart to complete driver install it gave me this error, I've tried to re copy the file from my DVD and I've rebuild BootMGR, I'm not overly sure what I can do about it. The error is as follows.

File:\Windows\System32\winload.exe

Status:0xc0000428

Info:Windows cant verify the digital signature for this file.

Although. It boots perfectly fine with the install DVD in the tray.

Hi,

Is the DVD an original installation DVD, or burn't from a downloaded ISO? Did you format the hard drive before reinstalling?

Boot from a reliable installation DVD, and do the following:

1. Select the language, and then click 'Next'
2. Select 'Repair your Computer'
3. Select the command prompt, and then type:

Code:
bootrec /fixMBR
bootrec /fixBoot
bootrec /rebuildBCD
Does this solve the issue?

Regards,
Golden

Thank you for your quick reply, And its from a downloaded ISO, I've recently gotten my key for Windows 7 (It's not pirated, Its from the Department of education, as I'm a year 12 student)

But I've tried this before unfortunately with no luck, It was one of the first options I found regarding my error.

If it helps at all, The ISO was also downloaded from the DET, And that its Service Pack1, So it should be up to date for my current system.

Department of Education and Training? It should be fine, is it a modified Windows 7 installation for academic purposes? I'm not sure if they are different from the standard installations.....I'll confirm that for you. Try another ISO in the meantime.

Thank you for your very quick reply, And yes, From the Department of Education and Training :),

I figured out the problem, It was thinking my external 2tb HDD was the Priority drive, Which is why it had issues, But now That I've told it to specifically boot from the SATA 0 drive it seems to be fine :)

Thank you very much for your time and effort! You've helped me quite a bit :).
