An ongoing spam campaign is once again attempting to impersonate Microsoft’s security team — the same campaign was first seen in April — by mass mailing Conficker.B Infection Alerts (install.zip), which upon execution drop a sample of the Antivirus Pro 2010 scareware.

That would have, repeat "would have" been one of the various spam mails on the old ISP here since I just cleaned some 447 spams out when going back to the mail server left idle over the summer! So much for the old ISP's spam filters? there! :rolleyes:

The traps like that wouldn't even be downloaded here in the first place but simply added to the spam folder and forwarded to the spam report. The present ISP's free email account not one with an assigned user name and password only saw 3 during the same time frame when left was also left idle. Spam be gone is the delete button! :D
