The game will start up, but when i try to start a new game, it starts to load for about 10 seconds and then crashes.

I've tired everything i could find about how to fix this.

Permission and changing compatibility didn't work.

And anything that has to do with graphic cards don't work because my video card is weird.

Here are my system specs:

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_gdr.100618-1621)

System Manufacturer: TOSHIBA
System Model: Satellite A505

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 330 @ 2.13GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.1GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM

Card name: Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator HD
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip type: Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator HD (Core i3)
DAC type: Internal

If you need any other information please let me know.

Any help on this would be much appreciated!!

I was kinda of looking for a work around? If anyone has any idea. Because technically windows 7 in general is not supported by the game. But people seem to be getting it to work? So i was kind of looking for a work around?

yeah it is a good idea to know what you are running then going off a sales person trying to make a buck off you by that i mean when you bought the unit

for todays demanding games most laptops come with a high end gpu if you have the option to change a card if you dont soley have onboard i would go that route

because now you just wasted money and you will have to eat it i worked for walmart as a manager there jerks when it comes to returning games and such that aren't compadible but none the less if they do help you out there just going to give it to you on a money card or swap the game again which pretty much sucks

here is the link

Lesson from now on learn system specs and read the required info for the game to run and you wont make that mistake again also if your not sure what your unit runs go to download.com and download speccy the link above

No way around like Ivan the so so says the card is not on the list or compadible and it is intergrated graphics which is pretty weak unless you are playing simple games

they do now have external graphic cards http://www.techchee.com/2010/05/26/msis-first-external-graphic-card-for-laptops/
for the Lappy this would probally be the best for you

Even if you found a work around the game would run only on maximum ugly.....and then on something stupid like 600X400....and still be slow.

I agree with everyone else. Intergrated Graphics will have a Hard Time with Fallout 3.
Sadly, there is no work around for hardware limitations. Only upgrading.

But if this helps any, something you may try:

Make sure you patch the game to v1.7

Go into your Documents folder,
Go to My Games / Fallout 3 / and delete everything inside of that folder.

Next Patch the game if you need to.

The then launch it, and choose lowest settings at first.

See if you can then get to the main Menu, at which point activation will be required with Games For Windows.
