Fallout 3 stopped working

hey i recently posted a thread about mods but i got another problem i cant actually play fallout 3..... i can get to load screen and when i create a new game the cinematic works fine then when i get to choose my sex etc i can get past choosing that then it just sorta stalls and doesnt progress any further all the sounds r still on but doctor is just standing there and then when i use the task manager to quit it comes up with Fallout 3 has stopped working... I have tried disabling visual themes and checking run as administrator in the properties of fallout3 and fallout launcher...
Can you please help me find a solution for this tell me if i should include any files that help with analyzing
PS: i have windows 7 and GOTY edition and also if it helps it seems like everything is a lot darker than it should be but that could just be brightness

i've faced this problem once.Make sure you don't change any settings.graphic,sound control or anything in the game.. If you somehow have make any changes.reset them to default and then restart the game

its all good now i reinstalled and it fixed itself thanks anyway
