False remaining time firefox

I have windows7 x64 and firefox 3.6 version.
I have noticed that the remaining time when downloading something is wrong.
It is always very optimistic (at least half or less than actual remaining time).
The internet explorer doesn't seems to have this bug.
Any ideas how to solve the issue???

It's an approximation as your download speed varies. FF's calculation is obviously different to IE. As for fixing it... :huh:

It's only a guide, and time remaining is calculated from the size of the file that is remaining to be downloaded and the current download rate which can, of course, vary.
