Fan Speed Controller

My Antec 300 case came with 2 case fans that have a switch H M L switch on them... and it is kind of a pain in the ass to open the case to switch the fan speeds. I usually keep them on low for noise reduction, but during gaming or other heat intense work id like them to ramp up a bit to keep the temps down.

does anyone have a good fan speed controller that will control 4-5 fans? i was reading about some of them and some can auto control the speed of the fans, which would be ideal

i just dont know much about them and was wondering if anyone here did

i've got the same case, and my fans are always on low, with no problems, even with marathon gaming sessions on my 33% overclocked cpu.

i'm not sure if a fan-speed controller would work with those switchable antec fans - you may need to replace them with more standard fans...would a controller be able to override the switch settings?

(as a side point, the case is actually a 'three hundred' and not a '300' - but only observant pedants like me would notice or care...)

If it would work you would have to set the switches on high and regulate them from there.

Low and medium are probably resistors in line or built in to fan board inside the fan hub.
High is probably full 12v so you would be regulating the 12v like a normal single speed fan.

yeah to regulate the speed with a controller you set the fans to H (12V) and use the controller to ramp down the voltage accordingly

i guess i really dont have any problems with temperatures.. it probably isint necessary... i just wanted to explore the option

they work ok easy to set up and you can tell what speed your fans are by the different led colour. they regulate the fans perfect worth the money

I have used this one on my old Antec case with the same fans you have. I set the switches on high and the controller varies the voltage to control the speed.
