Please help!

This is copied & pasted from my updates log:
I cannot install anything, I cannot system restore - I don't know a huge amount about tech but I am able to follow instructions if someone could please help me? (Currently running Windows 7 Home Premium)

That error code usually means that the service can't run because you're in Safe Mode.

Please make sure that you're booting to Normal Mode, using MSCONFIG to ensure that you're using 'Normal startup'

MSCONFIG -
Click on the Start button
in the Search box, type MSCONFIG and hit the Enter key
the System Configuration utility should come up

In the 'General' tab, make sure that the radio-button against 'Normal startup' is selected, then click Apply, and OK, and reboot.
