Hey,

I have got Fatal1ty Gaming Headset ( No USB) and my mic is not working properly...

When I plug it into my headset, it doesn't work, and it is on. But when I put it directly into the computer, it works fine!!! Is it any drivers or what? I bought a new computer today but the mic didn't work on my previous computer either.

Please I need help with this... :(

Best regards,
naahooJ

Welcome to the forums naajhoo!

It sounds like the connection in the headset (where the mic plugs into the earpiece) is the most likely cause for your woes! Especially since it works when plugged directly into your PC.

But I am assuming you have it set as the default mic when you have it in the headset?

i have the exact same headset, please do make sure you have the mic plugged into the headpeice properly as this will cause an issue, its quite tight to get in sometimes on mine and i have to give a good hard push to make sure its seated correctly??? just wanted to let you know of my experience!! also this may sound silly but you have the mic turned on by the volume switch connected in the middle of the wire??? sorry if that sounds to stupid but ive known someone to have done this?? lol.

Ok, I have tried to press it hard and yes, the Mic ''on/off'' switch is on on.

Where exactly is the mute button, because all of the mutes I have checked is fine.

Mute = Mic on/off

Sounds like you do in fact have something going on inside that earpiece where the mic inserts or behind it. I think it maybe time to check with Creative support...

A few years later, you have probably fixed it, but I got this exact headset today and had the same problem as you.
I couldn't find a fix, so managed to figure it out, and hopefully this will help you and anyone else with this problem

Right Click the sounds icon at the bottom right of the computer (When I hover over it, it says speakers)
Click Recording Devices
Right Click microphone and click Enable.

I hope this helps.
