What is your favorite feature of Windows 7 and what is your most annoying or most disappointing.

My favorite feature is system image. I have never used Acronis or any other cloning device and I really like the feature that is included with Windows 7. It is a good feeling knowing that almost anything that I screww up can be repaired with a simple push of a button.

The feature that I, so far, dislike the most is libraries. Maybe, it is the learning curve, but I am use to having my documents and pictures located just where I put them and no where else. Part of the problem may be that I do not really have a need for a library. I have few pictures on my Hard Drive, most of them just on DVD. My documents are few and do not need catorgorizing.

How about you?

Brilliant

The feature that I, so far, dislike the most is libraries.

I actually find Libraries quite useful, as they're organized and Files and Folders in a Library can be accessed easily (All my downloads are on a separate drive). And it makes it easy to get to all my Music from my PS3 as Libraries are already included in the Media Server/HomeGroup.

On the other hand, the most annoying/disappointing is that there is none.

I rarely have any problems that are faults in the operating system.(Most of them are human cock-ups )

After setting up three Windows 7 machines I'm starting to see the advantage to using homegroups.

The last networked machine saw the homegroup and the password prompt popped up right on time which made it very easy, fast and secure way to share folders and files.

I too thought I would like the system image feature and could get away from Acronis, but as you can see by my attachment I get an error (0x807801129), that I don't have enough space even tho my hard drive only has 15GB of data and my restore device has 102 GB free space. It worked ok when I was using the RC1. I'm using macrium reflect for my backups although I haven't done any restores yet. Has anybody had any trouble using Win7's system restore?

My favorite feature for Windows 7 is Libraries. It makes navigating to my files much faster.

I also like the new Taskbar. It's much improved than Vista.

The new gadgets are cool too. I hated the Vista Sidebar, and I never used it in Vista.

I love the slideshow background wallpapers.

The UAC still bugs me at times, but I learned to overlook it.

My favorite feature is backup and recovery - making a system image was never easier.

Most disappoinintg? I guess that Microsoft decided not to allow a change to the startup sound without a hack. What in the world justifies that bit of annoyance?
