Favorites doesn't work

How do those clowns at MS do it!!!
Upgraded to Win 7 now my IE 8 will not allow me add to my favorites.
Can't they ever get it right?
Anyone got any ideas what this problem is?

Thanks for the update and advice. I managed to get hold of MS support and they couldn't fix it either and after about 40 minutes with them the phone line went dead.......
The problem wasn't fixed.
I poked around in IE tools etc and I don't know what I did but somehow it now works.
