There's been some strong candidates this year but quite a few have been marred by driver/patch/performance issues which took a little of the 'enjoyment' value out of them for me.

So Just Cause 2 wins my personal award for the overall most enjoyable timesink of the year.

Mass Effect 2 is probably the best game I've played this year and quickly went to one of my all time favourite games and ME3 is probably my current most anticipated game, up there with Episode 3.

Just Cause 2 I was blown away by with the size of the map etc.

Minecraft in terms of simplicity and addictiveness.

Bad Company 2 I love, but lost interest in it at the moment, keep meaning to go back to it, but too busy at Uni with the last 2 weeks until finish for Xmas.
