Do you ever have a problem when you send a fax?

Also, does this problem occur on all fax reception, or just those faxes from one particular number?

As a workaround, if you don't receive more than 10 pages of faxes per month, you could use eFax Free to receive your faxes:

http://www.efax.com/efax-free

This is what I use. It is a really good, free service - whenever I receive a fax, it emails me a PDF copy of the fax -- I don't even need to log into eFax to get the fax.

There are some really good benefits to using eFax to receive your faxes:
  • Your fax number is always available, even when you are using your phone, and even if there is a power outage.
  • You can get your faxes from anywhere, at any time.
  • You have an electronic copy of every fax you receive.

Hi ghadakchi1,

I believe it might be the transfer rate speed, based on the error message

  1. In Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Phone and Modem Options.
  2. On the Modems tab, click the modem that you want to configure, and then click Properties.
  3. On the Modem tab, in the Maximum Port Speed list, click the speed for the modem.
NOT my area so i could be wrong, not exactly sure what your going to see when you get to option 3,
Id opt to lower it to 9600 for starters.

note

IF you system details are correct and as your running it as a "business" computer, add more RAM, 2GB is the minimum for Ultimate and "upgrade" to a 64bit version(will require a clean install).
(product keys are valid for both 32/64 OS's)

Efax is designed to work with traditional fax machines. It is always on and ready to receive a fax sent from a traditional fax machine. The only real difference is, it sends you an image of the fax via email rather than a paper copy.

The free version of efax doesn't let you send faxes, only receive faxes.
