Is Diskpart in Win 7 the same thing as Fdisk in old Dos? I have a USB flash drive that I have formated. It is 4 gig. After formating, it still says 16 meg used space on it when it supposed to be empty. Can I use Diskpart to recover the used space?

Thanks Clint

Yes, Diskpart is the modern and more capable version of Fdisk. Dont worry about the 16 meg used space on the newly formatted drive, that space is required by things such as the Master file table, NTFS logs and System volume info, in other words things required for OS functionality.
