Will post screenshots as soon as Firefox Portable, the only version I use, finishes its update.

Kinda weird, I've heard of this happening to others but this is my first time with this glitch, so I just opted to hide this update because nothing was wrong prior, then wait and see on the March updates.

Our antivirus (AVG Business Edition) is also flagging this update as a potential trojan. Specifically, it's being flagged as a SCGeneric1.AOYQ. The location of the object and its name varies with every detection, so I have not been able to create an exception rule. Which antivirus product are you using? Did you happen to notice if this only affects your Windows 7 users? So far we haven't had any Windows 10 users with issues.

Says right on the screencaps....

AVG Antivirus Free, but as I said, not going to worry about it too much, for come April 2020 or so I'll have to take over the in-depth security of any W7 machine I have on my own.

Could be a false positive. I haven't used AVG for years, but is there a way to report the file to them for inspection?

I use Avast and there is a way to do it. As they are both part of the same company now, I assume they have similar features?

I wonder if AVG was already able to push out a definition update correcting the situation. I haven't done anything to block the Windows update from getting installed, yet. Taking the "wait and see what happens" approach.

Uh-huh..... Looks like the folks at AVG needed a day or two to update their definitions base.

I always update those daily, as well as MalwareBytes. So when I saw your post I un-hid this thread's subject and re-ran WU. This time AVG wasn't triggered, but its not beyond the realm of possibilities,
since M$ servers are public, that some black-hat could get in, if they're clever enough.
I dunno.....I'm just a systems builder, old and rusty on coding.
