A gigantonormous compatibility update for Windows 7

An application compatibility update for a superlong list of applications has just appeared on Windows Update, both for Windows 7 and for dear old Vista.

The list features Deamon Tools, SpySweeper, Eset Smart Security, Halo 2, Sid Meier's Pirates.. and the list goes on and on.

Thanks for the Information. I got those updates Aaron but I did not get the activation one, strange. When you highlight it as in your photo, what does it say , can you post a picture, Thanks.

Just to note from scotland uk i have these updates ready to install aswell but not the windows activation one!!

Did you use the online tool? As I don't see the update either, but it is in my services list, so perhaps that's why.

It came as Pending. Isn't checked by default like the others were.

No just the windows update search for new updates, maybe they are hitting the US first before Europe.

I just did an update a few hours ago and got some updates. Just did another search and got these 3...



Incidentally, they're not listed under critical, but under Optional.

Yeah I got them all. I got half and half - some earlier, the others later. That's what I was saying.

Downloaded the verification checked it on line against a thurrott;s regedit rearm verify and passed. Every thing I have is a legal upgrade, fresh install.

Hi all. I've just download six updates by Windows Update, but just after restart I got a BSOD and the error BAD_POOL_CALLER. I've made a System Restore and now it's ok again. What could it be?

HI. So you have restored to a time before you installed the updates? if so, reinstall the updates one at a time and see if it happens again, and if it does don't install the one that causes the problem.
