Solved FF Behaviour

I am having a hard time describing this.
Latest version of FF -- When there is a clickable spot for a vid as I scroll down it follows me down. There is no place to click to close it but I found that the upper left corner can be clicked and the page returns to the top. Has anyone else found this to be so and is there a way to stop it.

Is that one video on one website or all videos on any websites?

You ask some very pertinent questions. I think it is only occurring on the above link. The Vid at the top will follow me down as I scroll. Very unusual. The page is ok in IE11. May just be a bug between FF and Fox news. Seems to occur frequently.

I see the link I posted is denied. I wonder what that is about?

I got the link. The page is coded so that the video stays at the top of the screen when you scroll down the page. It's possible to mess about with the values to over-ride this behavior.

If using "inspect element" you see this:

If you change those values you can stop the video appearing:

In Cyberfox with "plugins click to play per element" add on the video doesn't appear at all unless you allow flash.

Once allowed the video still does not load for me. The domain hosting the video must be blocked by my hosts file. If you want I can disable hosts and get the domain.

Well it's using Brightcove video platform:

The way I stop it is to use the hosts file but that would also affect functionality on many other sites.

Anyway - your best bet is to disable javascript using this addon when you need to:

Just toggle off when visiting that site:
