i just had fiber optics installed for my internet connection. there is no modem. my question is, is there a different way to configure setup to increase the connection performance? it used to be dsl w/modem. it just seems to be a little slower and the connection keeps failing. i have a wireless router i use for my childrens comps. is there a way to make it work better, and not cut out?

fiber optic slower than DSL, there must be a huge problem. If you are using homegroup, you should change to workgroup. Homegroup sometimes has problems on some systems.

to change simply create a new network connection using workgroup. If the problem is fixed you can dis able IPv6 and kill homegroup
