Hi Guys:
I just joined, just an average computer geek, I love computers, but sometime I get stumped, I recently went to save a text file, and somehow when I went to save it converted the text file to MS-DOS Application (.COM), is there away to convert this back to text. I spent a lot of time copying information to this text file, and am sad to know that maybe I lost all the info., any help would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS
Doug Flint !

A .txt file has no metadata so a rename is all you can do. Or restore it from backup.
All files of any importance need to have a backup copy while those of particular importance need 2 or more backup copies. There are so may ways that data can be lost and you need to be prepared when (not if) something happens.
