I downloaded what was advertised as free software called "File Cure" to allow me to open certain files that I could not get to open. When I tried to use it they said I had to register and pay $29.95 to use the sofware.
I went to control panel/unistall programs and removed the entry for "file cure". However periodically a window opens showing a list of things that need be fixed and I need to register File Cure and pay to get these things fixed.
Any suggestions on how to completely remove this software ?

THE FOLLOWING IS AN EDIT TO THE ABOVE THREAD:
I was sent a suggestion to download a adware/spyware
program, i did so to no avail. File cure was not removed by the program I downloaded. Now I am a little confused because the
email responce I received that suggested a possible fix for the
file cure problem, also said "There may also be other replies, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the fourm again." Now I have the website open but I can find nowhere to see if there are any other responses to my thread.
I find the term "visit" rather vague. It would more helpful if
it said what to look for while one is "VISITING". Please help
me, I am new to this website and am really concerned about
getting this software off my computer. Thanks in advance for
any suggestions you have.
