Hi, Folks... My video files would be displayed as film frames with the logo of my default media player (in this case, VLC) in the corner of the frame. My .mp4 files are still displayed this way. About a week ago, however, my .avi files started appearing only as the media player logo. Is there a way to get the file display to go back to the way it was? I make and edit videos and having to read the title of each file is really slowing down my work. If you could tell me how to get my framed picture display back I'd really appreciate it. Thanks. :)

What is .avi set to in Control Panel / Default Programs / Associate a file type or protocol with a program?

Mine is set to Windows Media Player as I do not have VLC or any other video player installed.

It's set to VLC. VLC is set as THE default player for all the media it reads.

You could try doing a system restore to before this started happening.
