Hi Everyone,

A few days ago icons for certain files changed. I've noticed that .mp3, .wav & .zip files are displaying different icons then they used to and this bugs me. I've attached an example of the change for .mp3 files. I had all of my audio files associated to iTunes and I liked the icon for the files. The .zip icon used to be of 3 books held together by a belt or something, now the icon is of the default Windows compressed folder icon. I can't recall messing with them so it's a bit strange. So far I've tried:

- Changing the icons using the Default Programs Editor to change to another icon (the iTunes one), but it can't find it.

- Checked file associations, all audio set to iTunes, most video files set to VLC. Zip files are set to WinRAR.

- Re-built the icon cache.

- Searched all over the place, cannot find any information.

If I could find a .png or .jpg of the original .zip and .mp3 icons I could set them as the default icon but I can't find them on any icon websites.

Could this possibly have been virus-related?

Any help to revert these icons back to their original would be greatly appreciated.
This is my first post so I'm not sure if I've provided enough information.

I changed the icon to an .ico that I downloaded. Using the Default Programs Editor I changed it to the custom one, it's not the same as the original .mp3 icon but it's an improvement.

Marked as solved.
