File system corrupt and unusable - but no disk indicated

I am getting the following error message in Event Viewer and am unable to determine which disk (I have a C: (SSD), D:, F:, G: (all WD hard drives) as well as three network mapped drives . I am running Win 7 Professional. I have run WD diagnostics on all hard drives but no problems were found.

Any tips would be appreciated -

I believe it would be referring to your c:\ drive.

Have you tried running chkdsk against it to see if it fines errors?

Hi Jamie - thanks for the reply but how do I figure out what disk is the one generating the error message?

The Windows error message usually indicates the disk that is causing the error. In this case it doesn't appear to (or at least I haven't been able to figure it out).

It says simply "The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume ."

I tried running chkdsk on two of the four drives and found errors on one (which were fixed). The error messages seem to have stopped for now.

I wish Microsoft could provide more meaningful error messages.
