I just set FileASSASSIN as the default program to the thumbs.db and kick'em to the curb. Until a better solution or fix comes from MS. The work arounds are too complicated and take to long when you are working on something.

Very interesting fix. so whenever you have to delete one, you just click on it and fileassassin opens. Good tip. I hope there are no negative reprecussions on deleting a good thumbs.db file though.
I have seen issues with trying to delete folders due to the thumbs.db files. It is complicated sometimes.

In my case, I work with custom made models all day, and constantly move, edit & test. They have tons of textures, and it has become a real pain. In the long term I'll have to see, but so far so good.
