Solved Filesharing a networked drive visible on the file system with no OS

After a failed clone job I have an HD with some content showing but want to access the
content normally available to my homenet.

Can this HD with the OS that completely fails and cannot be repaired without a disk wipe (I tried a few things and that was in a different thread which ended)?

How can I point to-- what would be the command? -- to network it as being on the homenet to make whatever shared folder (mine is simply the Public one) visible on to boot drive to retrieve the content files?

The path is normally Network >Lon-PC > Users > Public

My architecture is fine. This is just a ' can this work through Windows 7' question.

I will see if I can get a screen shot made of the content which is visible.

I am back in here after some progress in an odd way. This disk could find nothing to load as an OS. But I did manage to go down the right directory tree and find that Public Shared folder.

Searching for something to try, I attempted to copy the Windows folder from my good drive over to the old. That began to write a couple files but then demanded some Administrator privaledge I didn't know how to complete. Yes I go to command line but this wasn't a command line operation.

When trying to bood the bad drive after this folder copy attempt, I got the drive back.

Right away tried to back it up into a formatted but empty HD. It was then that bad block errors showed up and the copy failed.

I might as well marked this solved because I did find the Public folder and can find it again.
