This is an intermittent problem. Every now and then when I'm filling a Web form the cursor moves to the wrong place, with the result that I have to erase and (in the right place) retype the characters I wanted. This seems to happen only when I'm typing quickly. How can I stop this behavior?

Hey,make sure that you're not pressing any other keys accidentally while typing...

For example,if you accidentally press the "tab" key ,it will move the cursor to a different/wrong place.
This accident often happens while working on laptop computer, because it has a bit uncomfortable keyboard compared to a desktop computer keyboard.

Thanks, DarKnight, but that's what's happening. This behavior recurred just now and it can't be explained by my hitting a key by mistake.

That's may be a problem with your mouse pointer settings. But before that,I jsust wanna ask you, does the issue occurs while typing in Notepad or Word ,or in any other situations?

I don't use Word and rarely if ever use Notepad. The behavior occurs while filling a Web form (like this) and also, I believe, while composing an email message in Windows Live Mail.

Not sure, but probably within the most recent few months.

I rarely if ever work offline.
