"Find" Function in Windows 7

Before I bought my laptop, when I googled for webpages, I could key in a word in a FIND space and find that particular word on the page. Now I have no idea how to find particular words on a webpage as I don't see any type of FIND or SEARCH. Can anyone help me please? Thank you ladies and gentleman.

Go to help and support (click on start button, help and support is in the right panel) type, find word on web page. Click on the first entry and watch the film clip. I could tell you how it is done, but it will be so much more clear watching the film clip.

While your on the web page hit Ctrl+F. A new search toolbar should show up (IE8), but works in many programs.
