find physical location of files on hdd?

hi,

i went to shrink one of my disk partitions and was told i couldn't get more than 3gb more because there are some files in the partition that windows can't move. i've actually got about 30gb free on the partition, so this is irksome. does anyone know of an application that'll show me where files are located on the disk so i can see which files are preventing the partition from shrinkiing?

Partition Wizard bootable disk, the bottom link on this page, will shrink it more than Windows Disk Management, which I assume is what you have used.

looks like they have a 'home edition' too, that could handle what i want and it's free.

Make sure you get the one at the bottom of the page that must be burned to a disc. It operates outside of Windows.
