Hi ,
I have a problem with my video controller device driver after installing windows 7 ( from windows xp )

location information : PCI bus 0, device 2, function 1

Hardware ids : PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2792&SUBSYS_3081103C&REV_03

Display name : other devices / unknown device

My laptop is : Hewlett Packard Pavillion dv 4000 ( Ek919EA#ABH )

Properties : The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
The installation failed because a function driver was not specified for this device instance.
Please help me to find and download it
Thank you

urmard, I think you might need to visit the HP website for the specific drivers, but that computer probably will not meet the minimum system requirements to support Windows 7. Visit the Microsoft site and compare your hardware with the windows requirements.

I'd first check HP website for drivers your computer model first as cyclops suggested.

Otherwise, since that's an Intel device part of the Intel chipset. You might also try Intel Driver Update tool.
