can anyone give me exact links for these? The acer site isnt any help..

What is telling you to update the driver? If it is one of those driver update programs and you have a working driver, uninstall the update program and ignore it. If it isn't working Acer has a Windows 7 driver for that model Atheros ethernet adapter here,

A model number please.

Go to Start menu and in the search bar type in system information.

You will see the page I posted that will have your Model number.

Then you should be able to find them at Acer.
If you still have trouble post back here.
